AROUND THE WORLD, ONE BOTTLE AT A TIME,

PHILEAS FOGG WOULD SURELY APPROVE

It's time to embrace the spirit of adventure and, once again, I have the perfect gin for the occasion.

Atlas Chai Gin sounded exactly my kind of gin, and it certainly didn't disappoint.

Inspired by the traditional masala chai enjoyed throughout India, it combines warming botanicals including cinnamon, green cardamom, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, pimento berries and Assam black tea. The botanicals are infused for 24 hours before distillation in a copper still, creating a beautifully smooth gin with a gently dry finish from the tea.

The Atlas story began in Edinburgh, where founder Paul Martin discovered his love of gin. Back home in Lincolnshire, he set out to create a range inspired by exploration and discovery, encouraging people to travel through flavour.

It's a concept that immediately appealed to me. As the founder of a successful branding and design consultancy, Paul's creative background is also reflected in the beautiful bottle design, which is every bit as distinctive as the gin inside.

If you've followed me for any length of time, you'll know I have a soft spot for gins that tell a story, and this one does exactly that. In fact, it feels rather fitting that I'm consulting an Atlas as I begin my own journey around the world.

Close your eyes, breathe in those fragrant chai spices and imagine yourself sipping a G&T with the Himalayas on the horizon.

That's the joy of gin — sometimes one bottle is all it takes to transport you somewhere completely different.

Every great adventure starts by consulting an Atlas.

"Show me a bottle

and I'll tell you a story."
