The Tenth Day of Christmas



For the Ten Lords a Leaping, I've shaken up a twist on a cocktail I made a while back, using X-Gin, Amarula and Elephant Coffee Liqueur.

The difference this time is the Amarula Ethiopian Coffee Edition, which combines the creamy marula fruit liqueur with Ethiopian Arabica coffee beans. It ties in beautifully with the coffee liqueur and brings everything together with the gin.

It's a simple recipe — equal parts of each ingredient, shaken with ice and served with a little grated chocolate garnish.

The result? A seriously moreish cocktail! I'm partial to a bit of Baileys over ice, but this feels like a grown-up, slightly more adventurous version — richer, smoother and with a lovely coffee kick.

As for me... I think this cocktail may have earned its place as the perfect reward for getting through the first week of the year!
