CHRISTMAS 2020 - THE LOCKDOWN GINMAS
I got my thinking cap on for this one... although let's be honest, creativity does seem to come a little easier with a gin in hand! So today I have an original creation rather than a recipe borrowed from elsewhere.
There aren't five gold rings here, but there is a little elvish twist!
Anyone who has followed The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies will know they were filmed in the stunning landscapes of New Zealand, and of course one of the most memorable characters has to be Gollum with his obsession for “my precious”.
So, the inspiration behind my My Precious cocktail comes from Source Gin by Cardrona Distillery. Created in New Zealand, it conveniently features a ring in its logo and, with a little imagination, you really can't get much closer to an elvish connection!
To recreate this one, you only need three ingredients: gin, Prosecco and rose syrup. Simple, sparkly and definitely worthy of the fifth day of Christmas.
