CHRISTMAS 2020 - THE LOCKDOWN GINMAS
Eleven pipers piping... and today I'm piping up about a rather lovely Generation 11 Barrel Rested Sussex Dry Gin.
I had almost forgotten I had this little gem tucked away in the cupboard, but today seemed like the perfect opportunity to bring it out again.
When I first tried an aged gin, I wasn't quite sure what to do with it. Fast forward a while and I've become much more of a fan, with my favourite serve currently being a simple splash of ginger ale.
This is Batch 1 of Generation 11 and it delivers plenty of spice, honey and fruity notes. The ginger ale brings out those festive flavours beautifully, making it a perfect winter serve. It doesn't really need a garnish, but a cinnamon stick would work nicely to enhance the warmth and spice.
One more Ginmas square to go and I may just go totally rogue tomorrow!
