CHRISTMAS 2021 - COUNTDOWN
I think it's probably obvious by now that, instead of matching a brand or cocktail to the 12 gifts, this year I'm focusing more on the countdown!
The Four Colly (Black) Birds have winged their way over to Australia to perch on Four Pillars. And if you prefer the version with Calling (or even Song) Birds, they're certainly singing the praises of the four founders behind this iconic distillery.
The name Four Pillars is inspired by what the founders believe are the four essentials of great gin: the still, water, botanicals and love. It also gives a nod to their favourite cocktails, many of which are built around four key ingredients.
I've kept things nice and simple today with a Bloody Shiraz Gin, Double Dutch Double Lemon, ice and a garnish. Four ingredients... and I'm definitely counting the Double Lemon as a bonus four! π
